DIY

DIY stands for "Doing It Yourself". Whatever IT may be. Speculation tends to be mostly towards education.

There are times that (generally) male gamers are pestered threatened cajoled out from behind their beloved computers in order to enhance the family cave (usually) under orders of teh lady of the house. The male is usually somewhat technical, but tends to range from completely clueless to utterly useless regarding what Americans call "Home Improvement". Sometimes their significant other even logs on to the forums to complain about their troglodyte man's poor (but well-meaning) efforts.

Sometime the male gamer is exposed to those unique males who are indeed well versed in the art of DIY, but tends to make disparaging comments on the efforts of said men in an effort to not come across as a complete lemon. The male gamer sometimes uses these exposures to watch and learn, but most often tends to only reach the stage in DIY where one becomes adept in showing off one's buttock cleft to maximum effect.
