A Deity, besides gods in general, was anyone who reached 2000 posts in the BarrysWorld forums. Of course, the real Deities were the first four to make it. The Deities dragged a scruffy old couch into the forum and sat on it, watching pr0n, eating crisps, playing games and generally making a nusiance of themselves while avoiding as much daylight as possible.
Once Wazzerphuk made it to the couch, it took a turn for the worse, becoming much more worn and sticky around the spot he chose for himself.
Nowadays the couch has been moved to the Mod Forum where well-muscled manly jumberjack types like Jupitus and TdC still dare to sit on it.
