The :eek: smilie was just terrible at portraying surprise, shock, disgust or whatever else Trebz intended it to show. However Wij (yes I'm fucking claiming this one :eek:) thought that it did have the look of a rather comical 'angry face' and started to use it as such. Soon afterwards other forumites started to use it in the same way and it became one of the things you just had to know to fit in. This occasionally confused n00bz, which was great.

Tbh the Eek smiley is the greatest one on the forums, and possibly the best smiley currently in existance in the whole of the interweb.
