Mamiya
Storyline
Mamiya is a beautiful young woman who was leader of her village after the death of her father. When her village was threatened by the Fang Clan she hired Rei as a mercenary to protect it. Rei was instantly attracted to Mamiya and even ripped her clothes off revealing her breasts, which is quite out of character from the principled man he is shown as later.
Soon after Mamiya hired Kenshiro as well and he and Rei developed a rivalry both in terms of fighting and over Mamiya. Mamiya fell in love with Kenshiro though without any effort. Rei was more resigned than bitter though and simply loved her more deeply as time passed.
Later it was revealed that Mamiya had been a captive slave girl of Yuda, the first of the Nanto-Roku-Seiken to break rank, which he did by siding with Ken-Oh, thus starting the whole Hokuto vs Nanto tragedy, even before Shin took Yuria from Kenshiro. Rei vowed to avenge Mamiya by killing Yuda, even though he had by then only three days to live after sustaining a fatal blow from Ken-Oh.
Eventually Rei killed Yuda, who died in his arms, and then died himself from his wound. By this time Mamiya had develped feelings for Rei and was distraught. It is believed she went back to her village.

- Mamiya fights with a pair of bladed yoyos.
- Mamiya can easily beat generic thugs but would not stand a chance against any major Hokuto or Nanto practitioners.
- Mamiya bears a striking resemblance to Yuria. Kenshiro mistook her for Yuria when he first saw her.
- In the Hokuto No Ken arcade game by Sega/Sammy Mamiya is one of the more popular selected characters, regularly shown to beat the likes of Ken-Oh, Toki or Souther, even though this is canonically extremely unlikely.
- If you ever find (a) Mamiya irl it will generally be a camera ;)
