mank is a long-time BarrysWorld and FreddysHouse regular, having stumbled across the forums in mid 2001 at the tender age of 15 years old, registering on the forums as a semi-hardcore player of the Quake 2 modification Rocket Arena 2. Not long after, mank wandered into the somewhat terrifying General Forum due to curiousity and spent a fair amount of time lurking and being too scared to post. Eventually, his first post in that legendary forum was regarding an item on a BBC Radio 2 show about the recent September 11 terrorist attacks.

Despite this sensible beginning, it all went downhill when he discovered the power of the post count and soon became a spammer in his own right, although not being able to rival the likes of TdC and Wij et al, the volume of spam from this previously unknown 15 year old went entirely unnoticed. As time passed and he had integrated himself as part of the community, he became known for regularly getting banned and latterly being "prone to self-deletion". This led to him being known as a Notorious Sulker and Quitter.

Nowadays, at the grand old age of 20 years old, he spends his time posting on thetownend.com, a Swindon Town FC forum which he helped to create as well as studying for his A-levels at college. Occasionally popping up to have the odd dig at people - often Tom - he's a far more relaxed and friendly person now, who is reported to bare a resemblance to the cartoon character Penfold of Dangermouse fame.

mank has played many games since discovering online gaming in 1999 with Quake 2 and has gone onto play CS with Killemall, dabbled in Planetside with BarrysSquad and was part of the World of Warcraft guild Guild of Master Brewers which contained many forumites who later went onto form The Lost Exiles. Nowadays, he plays Battlefield 2 whenever his connection permits as well as wasting many an hour on Football Manager 2006.
